Keväällä 2017 kuvataiteilija Marko Turunen muutti takaisin synnyinkaupunkiinsa Kotkaan. 25 vuoden jälkeen kotikaupunki tuntui vieraalta ja hänelle tuli tarve tutustua kaupunkiin uudelleen. Tästä syntyi ajatus valokuvaprojektista. Turunen alkoi ottamaan kännykällä kuvia koirastaan Lihiksestä eripuolilla Kymenlaaksoa.

Lihis (mopsi) on vuonna 2010 syntynyt Espanjasta tuotu rescue-koira.

Marko Turunen aka Superturunen (s.1973) on kotkalainen taiteilija, sarjakuvataiteilija ja kuvittaja. Sarjakuvat muodostavat hänen taiteellisen tuotannon näkyvimmän osan. Walking with Lihis on hänen debyyttiteos valokuvaajana.

In the spring of 2017, Marko Turunen (b.1973) moved back to his hometown Kotka. Kotka is a small coastal town in Finland near the border between Finland and Russia. After 25 years, the town felt unfamiliar and he needed to rediscover it again. This gave him idea of a photography project. Turunen started taking pictures of his dog Lihis with a mobile phone in different parts of Kymenlaakso.

Lihis (pug) is 2010 born rescue dog from Spain.

Marko Turunen aka Superturunen is Kotka-based artist and illustrator. Comics form the most visible part of his artistic production. Walking with Lihis is his debut as a photographer.
